Trying out cake recipes to serve in The Barley Barn. And eating cakes. Our favourite so far is Raspberry Loaf Cake.
Collecting eggs. Every morning there’s a new clutch of different coloured eggs in the nest box, laid by the hens that wander around the farmyard. The yolks are a gorgeous deep yellow colour and the eggs taste wonderful.
Making little books from jelly prints. I use mine for writing shopping lists.
